The Methodology applies to the radioactive materials with radionuclides of anthropogenic origin, accumulated and formed on the ChNPP within the framework of practical activities. The scaling factors calculated according to the Methodology are used to determine the radiation characteristics of radioactive materials for the purpose of their classification by radiological criteria and justification of decisions on release from the regulatory control by termination. The Methodology does not apply to the closed (industrial) sources of ionizing radiation and to RM, which they are a part of.
