The object of the study is the balance of economic equality and inequality in ensuring social justice. The purpose of the work is to provide recommendations for the improvement of socio-economic policy in the context of solving problems of economic inequality and ensuring social justice. Research methods - logical-historical approach, value-institutional approach, system analysis, correlation analysis, factor and comparative analysis, structural and functional analysis, method of statistical groups, analysis of hierarchies, expert assessments and other methods. According to the results of the study: The general mechanism of growth of inequality in the present conditions is revealed, in which the main reason that consists of changing the structure of capital in the process of its accumulation and the factors (synergistic interaction of globalization and localization, the effect of the law of labor cost, formation of the information and network economy) are distinguished; it is shown that in Ukraine, the growth of inequality is strongly influenced by the combination of the inversion type of market transformation and globalization processes, which created a mechanism for the distribution of value added which enabled the accumulation of wealth to exporters and related economic entities due to the narrowing of the domestic market and fields of activity of national producers; it is proved that the basis of justice is the criterion of natural law based on the realization of the essence of the estimated phenomenon and manifests itself from the outside as a requirement of equality; it is shown that equality by right as a criterion of justice, is revealed in the process of ascending from the abstract to the concrete equality, which takes into account the whole set of specific circumstances; it is shown that structural and technological changes generate a new dimension of equality / inequality due to the unequal access of economic agents to new social technological assets that affects employment, income and actual status; It is substantiated that the state, business and civil society's actual tasks are minimization of social losses for equity and equality and maximizing the use of positive potential of institutional and structural-technological changes; the methodological grounds for assessing the impact of differentiation of various sources of income on the economic inequality are grounded, which allows, on the one hand, to determine the direction of the influence of individual sources on indicators of inequality and poverty, on the other hand, to outline possible ways and instruments for eliminating socioeconomic imbalances, in particular including alternative ways to reduce poverty; it is shown that the growth of the longevity of the population creates preconditions for the emergence of a "longevity economy", which is formed as a result of the influence of direct, indirect and induced effect and unites new segments of the market, and also stimulates the development of existing types of economic activity, in particular in the field of health care, social security, information technology, innovation and robotics, financial and insurance services, education, tourism and recreation, housing; the complex of the priority tasks of Ukraine, which should be implemented in connection with the strengthening of social divergence of Ukraine and the EU, and also the necessity of Ukraine to fulfill social obligations of the Association Agreement between it and the European Union, is grounded. The results of the study will be sent to the central authorities, first of all, to the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, as well as the Federation of Employers of Ukraine and can be used to improve socio-economic policy.
