The concept of creating an integrated, combined, non-waste mining and chemical enterprise, which provides transformation of various traditional approaches to the development of scientific and technological progress in the coal industry, are proposed. This leads to a change in the priorities in assessing alternative options for updating production processes based on advanced technological solutions. Instead of traditional quantitative parameters, high-quality factors of non-traditional technologies, which ensure the maximum efficiency of the use of minerals due to the high level of functioning of environmentally friendly solutions, are given priority. The economic estimation of the level of technical and economic efficiency of the gas-generating enterprise is carried out, which makes it possible, based on the geological and technological components of the gasification process, to establish the economic significance of the deposit in a costing form and evaluate the efficiency of investments. Technological recommendations for the creation of an energy and chemical system based on underground coal gasification have been developed taking into account regionalization of coal-mining enterprises and demand for products of coal gasification.
