The object of the study is electrophysical properties of metamaterial and metal-dielectric systems of millimeter-infrared wavelength bands. The subject of the study is planar periodic metal-dielectric structures created by covering the surface of a dielectric layer by metallic low-dimensional strips, as well as metamaterial structures based on composite materials. The basic research methods of electrodynamic properties of a periodic low-dimensional metamaterial structures of the millimeter-infrared wavelength range are developed and worked out; the numerical simulation of them has been carried out; the following waveguide and spatial electrodynamic characteristics have been obtained and analyzed. The methods of optimization excitation conditions and transformation of electromagnetic oscillations in low-dimensional periodic structures, based on the performed researches, are proposed. The self-consistent cubic-nonlinear theory of multiharmonic wave interactions in plasma-beam superheterodyne lasers on free electrons with helical relativistic electron beams, both with dopeltrone and H-ubitron pumping, are constructed for the first time. It is shown that P-Beam writing is a high-resolution lithographic technology that doesn't require using of expensive masks in creating periodic three-dimensional structures.
