The purpose of the study is to determine the impact of bitumen foaming on the quality, composition and technological parameters of the preparation of various types of asphalt and develop P V.2.7-37641918-894:2018 "Guidance for the preparation and application of asphalt mixtures based on foamed bitumen". Methods of research are standard laboratory tests of samples of different types of asphalt in accordance with DSTU B V.2.7-319. One of the topical issues that arise during preparation of asphalt mixtures is the reduction of energy consumption for their manufacture. Application of foamed bitumen allows not only to reduce the temperature of preparation, arrangement and compaction of asphalt mixes but also making it possible by reducing the surface tension of bitumen to achieve a more qualitative and uniform envelopment of the aggregates of the asphalt mixture with binders and to ensure a high homogeneity of the mixture. In addition, reducing the temperature of preparation of asphalt mixtures decreases the thermal aging of bitumen which contributes to increasing the durability of road pavement. Implementation - P V.2.7-37641918-894:2018 will be used in the preparation and application of various types of asphalt concrete mixtures based on foamed bitumen.
