The object of the study is the river of Great Kuyalnik River. The purpose of the study is the scientific substantiation of recommendations on the list of measures to restore and maintain the favorable hydrological regime of the Great Kuyalnik River for modern and scenario climatic conditions (until 2030). Research methods. stochastic "climate-runoff" model, the model of the water-salt balance, three-dimensional numeric hydrotermodinamic model Delft3D-FLOW, electronic information, maps, and forwarding graphic analytical research methods. The following tasks have been solved in the work: - the scientific substantiation of the necessity of clearing the catchment area of the Great Kuyalnyk River from artificial reservoirs on the basis of estimates of the natural and domestic runoff of the main river and its tributaries for modern and scenario climatic conditions (until 2030); - the volume of regulation of the flow of the Great Kuyalnik River and its main tributaries by artificial reservoirs is determined in accordance with the requirements of Article 82 of the Water Code of Ukraine for modern and scenario climatic conditions (until 2030); - the current state of the coastal protective bands of rivers and reservoirs in the Great Kuyalnik River basin was estimated and recommendations for its improvement were given in accordance with the requirements of the Water Code of Ukraine; - scientifically grounded recommendations on the number, location, morphometric characteristics and configuration in terms of artificial reservoirs, hydraulic engineering and supporting structures in the channel-beam network in the Bolshaya Kuyalnik river basin for modern and scenario climatic conditions (up to 2030) are developed, taking into account the Water Code Ukraine and the Water Framework Directive 2000/60 / EU; - proposals have been developed for the possible restoration of the meanders of the natural channel of the Great Kuyalnik River and its floodplain, as well as the clearance and reclamation of the modern artificial channel (rectified and channeled) and its natural areas; - potentially possible efficiency is estimated from carrying out measures to restore and maintain the favorable hydrological regime of the Great Kuyalnik River.
