In particular, a number of new derivatives of thieno [2,3-d] pyrimidines, triazolo [3,4-b] [1,3,4] thiadiazines, thieno [2,3-f] isoindoles, thieno [2,3-e ] [1,2,4] triazolo [1,5-c] pyrimidines, thieno [2,3-d] [1,2,4] triazolo [1,5-a] pyrimidines, thieno [3,2-d ] [1,2,3] triazinones were obtained. A new strategy for annulation of the pyrimidine cycle was developed using 1-substituted tetrazoles. The peculiarities of the domino-reaction of azides in the synthesis of new heterocyclic compounds were investigated. Aticancer activity evaluation was conducted in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute (USA) and it was found that some compounds posess a good antitumor activity.
