The presence of two groups of neurons is revealed according to the kinetics of the calcium signal. A specificity of the excitotoxicity influence on the mechanisms of calcium homeostasis in hippocampal neurons was determined. In immunocytochemical studies, the presence of parvalbumin-immunoreactive neurons was demonstrated.
