Physico-chemical research chem. composition, microstructure, distribution of doping between the phases of the material showed that it was possible to substitute the steel 50ХФА steel 50 (GOST 1050-88) having the composition (% by weight): С-0,47-0,55; Si 0.17-0.37; Mn- 0.50-0.80; Cr <0.20. The concentration of dopant and admixture elements in the tape material is normal, with the exception of the presence of molybdenum and arsenic. The presence of molybdenum, which strengthens alpha-ferrite, can lead to an increase in slander in the course of cold rolling and to the occurrence of cracks and bundles. The number and nature of the distribution of non-metallic inclusions is not critical. The chemical composition of steel 12Х18Н10Т does not meet the requirements of GOST 10498-82 either on the concentration of chemical components or on their list. The chemical composition of the 17ХНГТ alloy band as a whole meets the requirements of GOST 10994 - 74. The absence of aluminum has been determined, which may have caused the appearance of oxide compounds in the size of 0.2-5 μm due to incomplete deoxidation.
