Based on the developed semiempirical models of the state of the climatic fields of the surface air temperature and the amount of precipitation, and taking into account the global scenarios and the trends of regional climate change, we have created transformations of the seasonal course of surface temperature and precipitation for the city of Kyiv at different levels of warming by 2050. The morpho-physiological analysis of the species tolerance of tree plants in the conditions of the "urban heat island" (based on the model of the Botanical Garden named after A.V.Fomin as the epicenter of this phenomenon in the urban landscape of Kyiv) was carried out to determine the effectiveness of their climate-forming ability in the green landscapes of the city.
