The primary degradation of substrates by the mycelium of lignotrophic basidiomycetes contributes to the preparation of raw material for further cascade of biochemical transformations and involves groups of various systematic groups of myxomycetes and bacteria to form the final biofuel product in bioreactors. Further studies of the biodestructive potential of macromycetes lignocellulosic complexes and the development of biofuel microtechnologies require the selection and study of the cultural characteristics of highly efficient strains promising for the production of biofuels from energy plants (sugar, carbon, high oil), which are used in different directions. A pool of intracellular endoglucanases of the fungus Schizophyllum commune on the territory of Ukraine was studied. Two loci of endoglucanase (Eg1, Eg2) were established. Alleles Eg293, Eg296 and Eg2102 are rare and inherent to certain populations. The use of a large number of S. commune samples allowed us to identify the locus Eg1 not determined earlier with a molecular weight in the range of 15-18 kDa. Amino acid sequence of the locus Eg2 in databases of NCBI (XP_003031634.1) and UniProt (D8Q439) was probably identified, which is classified among the family 5 (GH5) and consists of 333 amino acid residues. An increase in the total pool of ellagic acid provides for an increase in the intensity of oxidative processes in plant tissues and can be considered as a marker of brown rot and latent damage to wood.
