The aim of the work is to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the sheep of the farm for the selection of animals that are the best in the genotype and phenotype of animals for signs of wool, meat productivity and reproductive ability of ewes. The study of the growth rate of young animals, obtained from a special selection of parental pairs for meat qualities. Research methods - zootechnical (live weight, growth intensity, wool and meat productivity, etc.), statistical (biometric data processing). In the herd of the breeding plant DPDG "Ascanius" is estimated by the complex of the main breeding traits of 836 sheep belonging to nine lines. The average live weight of adult sheep was 109.6 kg, sheep-godovikov71.7 kg, bright-godovikov 55.1 kg, peyarok 72.0 kg. The fleece mass was 9.9 kg for sheep, 7.45 kg for sheep-yearlings, 8.21 kg for a spearhead and 7.5 kg for a bright herd, on average for a herd of 7.6 kg, the yield of pure fiber was 56.3%. In terms of reproductive qualities during the formation, 201 uteri with a live weight of more than 65 kg were selected for special selection. The intensity of growth and development of rams from birth to weaning amounted to 230.8 and 206 g for average daily gains, depending on the origin. The level of meat productivity of young animals obtained from a special selection of parental pairs is higher in experimental animals than in control ones (carcass weight 18.78 kg versus 17.0 in control analogues).
