The purpose of the work is to study and install the best varieties of potatoes on the basis of the main economic and valuable indicators for the conditions of the Western Polissya of Ukraine. In the process of researching varieties and sorts of potatoes from breeding centers of Ukraine, the best varieties of potatoes adapted to the conditions of the Western Polissya of Ukraine were found to be better than the main economic-valuable and qualitative indices: early sorts - Slauta and Ivankivska Early (yields - respectively 48.5 and 39.4 t / ha; collection of starches - 6.64 and 4.80 t / ha; dry matter - 9.36 and 9.60 t / ha); middle- early sorts - Basalia (yield - 46.4 t / ha, starch collection - 7.88 t / ha, dry matter - 10.1 t / ha); middle sorts - Myroslava (yield - 49.1 t / ha, starch collection - 8.44 t / ha, dry matter - 10.4 t / ha). Economic efficiency - at least 30 thousand UAH / ha.
