The purpose of the work is investigation of influence of permeable obstacles on the processes of propagation and transformation of surface gravitational waves. A research method is physical modeling. Experimental investigation of hydrodynamic efficiency of permeable obstacles in reducing the wave energy is performed. Different models of permeable obstacles have been considered. The results of the work can be used in the development of new approaches to solving problems of shore protection taking into account economic and environmental aspects.
