To study the genetic characteristics and economic and biological features of the breeding material and to create high-yielding varieties of red clover resistant to the main diseases with high adaptive potential. Methods: field and laboratory. Results. A new source material has been created, promising high-yielding in forage and seed productivity, winter-hardy varieties which exceed commercial varieties on a number of agronomic traits have been identified. In the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine for 2018 the new synthetic variety of red clover Faina has been introduced. The new plastic high-yielding variety of red clover Flahman is undergoing State testing and the variety Aktsent has been submitted in 2018. Field of use: forage production.
