Purpose of the work: to introduce and comprehensively examine samples of foreign and domestic breeding material for the identification of sources and donors of agronomic traits. Methods of research: field, laboratory and mathematical-statistical analysis. Results. New sources for individual and complex of valuable economic characteristics and varieties-standards of different levels of manifestation of the main features of wheat and barley of winter and spring forms were identified. There were formed trait collections of bread winter and spring wheat, winter barley and training collection of spring barley for agronomic features. On the basis of the collection samples, 21 varieties of spring and winter crops were created, submitted for registration and included in the State Register of Varieties of Ukraine. 18 Registration Certificates of plant gene pool samples at the NCPGRU have been received.
