The purpose of the work is to substantiate the expediency of using specialized technical means for assessing the microclimate and to determine the influence of the type of room from reinforced concrete slabs and the ceiling compatible with the roof on the formation of microclimate indicators, the level of average daily gains and the behavior of pigs. Research methods - zootechnical, biometric, analytical. During the reporting period, analytical data were obtained on the monitoring of the space-planning solution of the pigsty and its thermal characteristics. A database has been formed from the daily monitoring of the main indicators of the microclimate, the behavior of pigs and the level of their average daily gain over the periods of the year. Analysis of existing devices for assessing the microclimate of livestock buildings suggests that they do not meet the modern requirements of measuring equipment. It was determined that the premises of the pigsty made of reinforced concrete three-layer panels of continuous section and the roof compatible with the roof are characterized by a total weight of fences in the amount of 1.17 c / m3 and specific heat capacity of the fences weight 0.101 MJ / m3. According to the law of thermodynamics, it has insufficient inertia. It is shown that more comfortable temperature and humidity parameters of the microclimate in this type of room are formed in the spring and autumn periods of the year. It was established that in an unheated room of reinforced concrete three-layer panels of continuous section and ceiling compatible with the roof with a natural ventilation system, the average daily pig growth was significantly lower in the winter (446 g in P <0.01) and summer (457 g in P <0.001 ) periods of the year.
