The purpose of research is to determine the perspective directions of the combination of chemical, physical and biological methods for the development of effective processes for water purification and control of its quality. Main results: The effectiveness of deep destruction (mineralization) of anionic surfactants in aqueous media was investigated during catalytic and photocatalytic oxidation with hydrogen peroxide using iron ion-modified zeolite (Fe3 +) ZSM-5. The relationship between the efficiency of oxidative destruction of surfactants by positive corona discharge and VUV irradiation with the state in aqueous solution, which is determined by their concentration, is investigated. The high efficiency of short-term (0.5-2.0 min) photocatalytic oxidation of arsenite-containing aqueous solution in flow-type reactors using TiO2-VUV irradiation as compared to VUV irradiation has been established. It is shown that the use of the developed and patented in ICCWC NAS of Ukraine of an electrodialysis-concentrator for desalting of low-mineralized chloride waters allows further efficient processing of the resulting brines into chlorine and alkali. A theoretical justification and algorithms for calculating the characteristics of photocatalytic reactors for the implementation of water treatment processes on ceramic membranes are proposed. It has been established that the combination of VUV irradiation and water pretreatment with membrane methods demonstrates different degrees of structuring in water samples with different deuterium contents depending on temperature. It was established that the effect of water disinfection with chitosan on microscopic fungi depends on the degree of deacetylation of the polysaccharide, pH, water temperature and pretreatment method.
