In order to study an impact of such factors, as structural features of electrical networks (EN), the peculiarities of existing relay protection and automation devices functioning, switching devices and the means of data transmission and reception on analysis results of the post-accident state of EN, the typical EN subregion of the energy supply company "Kyivoblenergo" has been selected and studied. Special theoretical positions for solving the analysis problem of the post-accident state of EN were developed. Software tools for the formation of information structures of the intellectual system (System), which establish the relationships between all elements and devices of the EN, are developed. Using such structures, both the generation and verification of the hypotheses regarding accidental damage in the EN are performed. In order to ensure the completeness of databases and knowledge by information on the features of the functioning and settings of existing relay protection and automation devices, the software tools for calculating the settings of the phase selector module of the REL6 ** microprocessor devices were developed. Mentioned REL6 ** microprocessor devices are developed by the ABB firm and are used in the EN of the National Energy Company (NEC) "Ukrenergo" too. An instrumental interface and the means for generating and verifying hypotheses about the places of accident events have been developed. To configure and verify the functioning of System's tools, a software simulator of receiving signals related to the operation of the relay protection, automation devices, and switches was developed. Using this simulator, an efficiency of the created System was checked. As a result of the work, 2 certificates those confirm authors' Copyright, and designed software tools for determining the damaged phase and automated calculation of the settings for the operation of the phase selector module and the load sector of REL6 ** after careful testing were recommended by NEC "Ukrenergo" to introduction into the industrial operation in the EN of the Interconnected Power System of Ukraine. Full-scale introduction into operation of the developed System will be possible when to the EN dispatch centre of the energy supply company "Kyivoblenergo" will be transmitting the signals about the emergency operation of relay protection and automation devices at electric substations of EN.
