The purpose of the study is the complex gemological physical, chemical and microscopic examination of colored stones of 2-4 ranks from the collections of SGCU, integrated database creation of diagnostic gemological physical and chemical characteristics of precious stones from the collection of SGCU. Research methods include diagnostic gemological characteristics determination, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy ("SERP-01" spectrometer of the "ElvaX-Light" model), infrared spectroscopy (Fourier transform spectrometer Nicolet 6700), optic-microscope (Gemmaster L 230V" and a microscope "Nikon Eclipse LV150 "). Complex gemological study of colored stones of 2-4 ranks from the SGCU collections is carried out, namely the determination of gemological characteristics, measurement of X-ray and infrared spectra, microscopic examination were fulfilled. Integrated database of diagnostic gemological physical and chemical characteristics of precious stones of 2-4 ranks from the DGCU collection was created. Training manual "Photoatlas of Inclusions in Precious Stones" was developed. Results can be used in solving a wide range of tasks of scientific gemmological examination and for improving the quality of education in gemological field.
