The goal of the project is to develop a method for calculating the length of the passive loop shielding system, that allows to reduce the high-voltage cable line magnetic field to the reference level in a limited area. Methods of the research include the theory of electromagnetic field in the quasi-stationary approximation, the method of circuits and methods of the theory of electric circuits, the mathematical apparatus of Clark's transformation, experimental methods of magnetic flux density measuring for power frequency. The analysis of known types of passive loop shielding systems used for the cable line magnetic field reduction has been carried out. The analysis of known methods of shielding factor calculation for passive loop shielding systems has been carried out. Methods of shielding factor calculation for passive loop shielding systems have been developed. Wherein two cases have been observed: the magnetic field shielding along the entire cable line and the magnetic field shielding in a limited area. The obtained expressions for the shielding factor are used to analyze the magnetic field of cable lines with two-point bonded shields. As a result, a method for calculating the length of the passive loop shielding systems has been developed.
