COUNTRY OF ORIGIN, FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS, TARIFF PREFERENCES, CUSTOMS, RULES OF ORIGIN OF GOODS. The object of study - the country of origin of goods as an economic category and legal phenomenon. Purpose - singling out ways to solve problems and develop recommendations on the application of the rules of origin of goods in the context of tariff preferences in the implementation of international agreements on free trade. Research methods - observation, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, comparison, abstract and logical, systematic and structural methods, statistical analysis. Based on the analysis of domestic and international law regarding terminology, principles and rules of origin of goods, the necessity of harmonization. Comparison of conditions of free trade agreements with the participation of Ukraine with international law revealed inaccuracies and shortcomings that prompted eliminated by the unification of certain parts of the agreements concerning the country of origin. Based on the research procedure declaration of country of origin, documentary evidence requirements for such data revealed problems in monitoring the accuracy of its determination. In order to eliminate the problems hindering the application of preferential treatment, generated recommendations aimed at improving control over the correctness of determining the country of origin.
