Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 It was shown that in adipose tissue of patients operated on an occasions of polyposis and obesity and in adipose tissue adjacent to tumor of patients both with rectum and gastric cancer, low NO levels and activity of Complex I of redox mitochondrial chain as well high levels of superoxide radicals generation, oxidative caused DNA mutations and total gelatinases activities are associated with body mass indexes. Adipose tissue adjacent to tumor is under sivere hypoxic state whereas adipose tissue that is in a definite distance from tumor is characterized by satisfactory oxygenation. Firstly it was shown that low activity of Complex I of redox mitochondrial chain and low NO levels in adipose tissue adjacent to tumor are associated with high cell hypoxia, MMP-2 activity and low differentiation of rectum cancer. Obtained results were shown that adipose tissue adjacent to tumor of patients with overweigh became to be disfunctional under tumor influence and its indexes are associated with tumor microenvironment and aggressive phenotype of rectum cancer.
