It has been found that the WS2 nanoparticles in the aqueous dispersion have a predominantly monolayer morphology. The cytotoxic and cytostatic effects of WS2 2D-materials on tumor cells (lung Lewis carcinoma line LLC) on dependence of the concentration and incubation time was studied. Analysis of the vibrational spectra of the tumor cell under the influence of 2D WS2 nanoparticles showed that there are no significant effect onto the secondary structure of the protein and nucleic acids. The results of the confocal images analysis show a larger number of round-shaped cells in the case of 2D WS2 nanoparticles action. The reason for this is the cytotoxic action of WS2 which can be used in clinical practices. It has been shown that boron nitride does not exhibit cytotoxicity in a number of cell cultures and can be used to improve the image quality of the cells in confocal microscopy, as well as to record infrared spectra from different cell components.
