The problem of spiritual and cultural values of upbringing and education is at the epicenter of the emergence of the spiritual and cultural crisis that appears to be the inherent feature of nowadays. But, this is the time that should become the period of Revival, of Spirituality, of Culture, and of the Purity of the Soul. Today, the search for possible ways of solving the problem of theory, methodology and methods of formation of spiritual image of Man of Culture of the 21st century at modern university students is of particular importance. The purpose of the research is to reveal the theory, methodology, and methods of formation of spiritual and cultural values of Man of Culture of the 21st Century on the basis of spiritual and cultural values of upbringing and education of modern University students, development of scientific and methodical tools for experimental study of axiology-oriented technologies, innovative methods of using the art and program of special courses. The object of the research is the process of upbringing and education of modern University students on the basis of spiritual and cultural values. The subject of the research is the content of spiritual and cultural values of upbringing and education of student youth, the theory, methodology and organizational and methodical system of formation of spiritual image of Man of Culture as an ideal of perfection at modern University students. As a result of the study, the leading contradictions in the development of modern civilization were identified with a view to their comprehension and search for mechanisms and value constructs of upbringing and education of student youth of the ХХ1st century; the essence and main content characteristics of spiritual and cultural values of upbringing and education of student youth are examined and substantiated; the essence of spiritual image of Man of Culture of the 21Ist century as an ideal is revealed; the organizational-methodical system of its formation is developed; the axiological and functional capabilities of the dialogue of cultures are substantiated and introduced into pedagogical practice; the axiology-oriented technologies, innovative methods of using the art and the program of special courses are developed, implemented and their effectiveness is experimentally verified.
