In 2018, two varieties of crown flax, Akvamarin and Pivdenna Nich were introduced into the State Register of Varieties of Ukraine, with a yield of 2.5-3.1 t/ha seed, with oil content in the seeds of 42.0-45.0% adapted to the conditions of Polissya and Forest-steppe. According to the results of the collection, genetic sources of high content of oil in seeds (11 samples with a level of oil content of 43.0 - 46.0%), early vegetation, yields (23 samples with a yield level of 178 - 223 g/m2) selected. In the first and second generation of hybrids different character of the inheritance of the basic quantitative traits was revealed, which allows forming a further selection strategy. 54 seedlings with a seed yield of 220-290 g/m2 have been isolated in the breeding establishment. The rooms with high content of oil in the seeds (up to 44.0-46.0%) and early-ripening numbers, which matured 5-8 days earlier, are distinguished from the standard. In the control nursery six high-yielding samples were identified which significantly exceeded the standard by the level of yield of 0.98-1.38 t/ha, which is 63.2-92.2% in percentages. According to the results of the previous variety test, three samples are selected, which, according to the yield, are 66.4-78.7% higher than the standard Pivdenna Nich. In a competitive variety test, 5 numbers at the reliable level exceeded the standard by 0.90-2.15 t/ha per seed yield; with a high oil content of 44 - 46% and an output of oil from 1.05 to 1.78 t/ha.
