The purpose of the work is to substantiate theoretical and applied decisions on improving the efficiency of management of the economic potential of enterprises. Methods of research: monographic, scientific abstraction, comparison, grouping, logical, historical, economic-mathematical analysis, graph-analytical, statistical analysis, system and functional and process approaches. The economic essence is determined and the structure of economic potential of enterprises is investigated. Peculiarities of economic potential of trade enterprises are revealed. The scientific approaches to the content management of economic potential of enterprises are considered and analyzed. Structural-logical scheme of model of management of economic potential of enterprises is offered. The analysis of methodical approaches and indicators of estimation of the efficiency of management of economic potential of enterprises is made; the emphasis on their structure for enterprises of different spheres of activity is made too. The structure of economic potential is described and researched on the example of the trading company. Its qualitative and quantitative evaluation was performed on the official open information of the enterprise. The organizational model of management of the economic potential of this enterprise is presented. The evaluation of effectiveness and the factors influencing the management of its economic potential have been assessed.
