Aim of research: to increase the effectiveness of treating patients with gastrointestinal cancer by individualizing metabolic therapy at the stages of combined treatment, taking into account epigenetic features. Theoretical and practical results: аn assessment of metabolic disorders in patients with colorectal and gastric cancer before surgical removal of the tumor and on the 14th day after surgery is given. Metabolic disorders in the form of an increase in the level of lactate and dyslipidemia were found: a statistically significant decrease in triglycerides (Mann-Whitney U-test, p <0.05) and tendencies to decrease in beta-lipoproteins and alpha-lipoproteins. Novelty: refined data on the degree of nutritional deficiency and the main indicators of carbohydrate and fatty exchanges in patients with colorectal cancer and gastric cancer before and after surgical removal of the tumor.
