Purpose of the research work – basing on the application of visual, instrumental and photographic methods of observation of underwater objects of cultural heritage of the island Zmiinyi waters to indentify optimal methods and procedures for collectioning and preservation of underwater artifacts of different dimensions. Methods of studies – interdisciplinary analysis and synthesis of data, series of general scientific, special historical and archaeological methods of investigations. Basing on the application of visual, instrumental and photographic methods of observation of underwater objects of cultural heritage of the island Zmiinyi waters the optimal set of methods and procedures necessary for collectioning and preservation of underwater artifacts of different dimensions has been identified. In the result the methodology of detection, fixation, mapping, pasportizaion and modeling of scientific and cultural significance of these objects have been elaborated.
