The aim of the work is to study additive technologies in mechanical engineering, the development of heat treatment regimes for wear-resistant steels with increased carbon content, and the study of the wear resistance of steels and alloys with elevated carbon content under various wear conditions. Research methods - analysis of literature data, study of the structure and properties of materials depending on the composition and regimes of heat treatment, laboratory wear tests, full-scale wear tests. Additive technologies in mechanical engineering are proposed and optimized. Technological schemes for the use of resource-saving spherical and promising non-spherical powders of titanium alloys for the production of billets of aircraft engine parts have been developed. The structure of steels with an increased content of carbon after thermal treatment under various regimes has been studied. The wear resistance of high-carbon alloys and surfacing under various wear conditions has been studied. The principle of creation of universal wear-resistant materials for conditions of abrasive wear is offered.
