The calculations of the longitudinal dynamics of the indicators for trains of different lengths as they move along sections of the longitudinal profile with various parameters are carried out. The obtained dependencies of the greatest efforts in trains on the parameters of the longitudinal profile of the track can be used in revising the existing building codes and regulations governing the structure of the longitudinal profile of the track. These results will reduce the amount of excavation work on the sections of highways under construction and improve train traffic safety. The results of theoretical and experimental studies of the strength properties of rolling stock are analyzed. In the study, the finite element method (FEM) was used, which makes it possible to almost completely automate the calculation of mechanical systems, however, as a rule, it requires performing a much larger number of computational operations as compared with classical methods of mechanics. The analysis of the carried out theoretical and experimental studies of the strength properties of rolling stock elements is presented on the example of a freight car's spreader beam; calculations are performed using the modern software package. The proposed approach can be used to solve such optimization problems in research and development practice The method of theoretical determination of the guiding force has been improved, taking into account the action of the transverse creep forces and the angle of inclination of the guiding force to the vertical axis. It has been established that when determining the guiding force, it is necessary to check the gap between the wheel flange and the rail head, which is difficult to implement without computer simulation. In determining the frame force on the axis of the wheelset, an integrated approach was applied, taking into account the geometric irregularities of the track both in the vertical and in the horizontal plane; longitudinal and transverse forces of creep at the point of contact "wheel-rail"; influence of adjacent wheelsets of a diesel train car. The dependences of the frame and the guiding force on the speed of the crew and the magnitude of the horizontal roughness of the track are obtained. The influence of the speed of the crew on the value of the transverse forces of the creep was investigated. Comparison of the numerical values of the guiding force, determined by different methods. It has been established that the methodology used in conducting judicial railway transport examinations allows for a lower assessment of the fulfillment of the wheel-off condition of the wheel. A comparison is made of the experimental and theoretical calculated values of the frame force on the first wheel pair of a diesel train car, and their practical agreement is also shown.
