Concept of the national model of distributed energy and determination of directions of its technical, technological and production development. A set of methodological approaches to the justification of structural changes in the energy sector of Ukraine, assess the feasibility of their implementation. The results of research on the topic are used in the practical work of the Executive Committee of the Kharkiv City Council of Kharkiv Oblast and the State Enterprise "GIPROKOKS". The work was performed according to the tasks of the scientific project "Economic, Techno-Technological and Environmental Imperatives of the Target Development of Energy of Ukraine" and has a relationship with earlier work on the topics: "Problems and Prospects for Decentralization of Energy Supply and Creation of Local Autonomous Fuel-Energy Complexes", 2015, registration number 0115U003870; "Rationale for structural changes in the energy sector and the possibilities for its modernization", 2017, registration number 0117U001757 and others. The results of work are recommended for strategic planning of distributed energy development and regional electric power systems. Implementation of the activities proposed in the work will ensure the creation of additional jobs and economic development of territories placement of distributed energy. Further research is proposed in the direction of further development of theoretical and methodological foundations for the distributed energy development.
