KCl was used for quenching the gamma phase. Optimal conditions for shock compression are found under which the yield of the cubic phase is above 80%. The synthesis of SiC under shock compression of mixtures of silicon with graphite and diamond was investigated. It was found that the degree of interaction of silicon with graphite depends on the composition of the mixture, the dispersity of the components and the temperature of shock compression. The possibility of liquid-phase sintering of diamond powders under the action of shock waves on a mixture of diamond with silicon was shown.
