The objects of the research are the monuments of architecture of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve: Dormition Cathedral, Great Lavra Bell Tower, St. Onufrius Tower and Cells of the Council Elders (building №4). The purpose of the work is to undertake comprehensive study of the scientific technologies used during restoration, conservation and reconstruction of the objects of the research; to study the experience gained as a result of restoration and reconstruction works on the monuments. The methods of the research include scientific inquiry of archival sources, systematization and analysis of materials; processing of scientific and project documentation; search for photo documents; analysis of historical and archival studies; description of the process of carrying out research work, restoration, reconstruction and conservation works. Project, scientific and practical decisions have been studied in chronological order. The course, order and methods of repair and restoration works, dating back to different periods of time, have been analysed and documented. The experience of using modern scientific and technical solutions in the process of implementation of restoration works has been studied. The materials of the research can be used as a source of information for restorers, art historians, employees of national preserves and other museum institutions of Ukraine.
