The ability of Pleurotus eryngii to synthesize biomass on glucose-peptone-yeast and potato-dextrose liquid media was studied. Biological material has been accumulated: the mycelial mass and the culture fluid of P. eryngii to study their ability to produce silver-containing nanoparticles. A protocol has been developed for the preparation of biological material: filtrate of the mycelial mass obtained by washing mycelium in sterile water on a shaker (180 rpm) for 5 days and P. eryngii culture fluid obtained on glucose-peptone-yeast and potato dextrose liquid media which were purified by two-step centrifugation followed by filtration under sterile conditions in order to investigate the possibility of their use for the synthesis of silver-containing nanoparticles by reaction with a solution containing nitrate silver. The course of the reaction will be monitored by UV spectroscopy. Several types of fabrics from natural and artificial fibers, which will be modified by the obtained silver nanoparticles, were studied to determine their antibacterial properties. It is proposed to modify the tissue with additional binding agents, including polyaniline. The results of research can be the basis for the development and implementation of materials containing silver nanoparticles and have antibacterial properties.  Product Description popup.authors Yemets Alla I.
