The purpose of paper – to improve the quality of filling cars of sorting tracks equipped with the quasi-continuous speed control system of cuts by introducing the control of point speed controls. The paper proposes an option of improving the quasi-continuous speed control system of cuts on sorting tracks in order to improve the quality of filling the sorting tracks with wagons by introducing in the control system of point wagon retarders. The attempt to optimize the parameters of the system for regulating the speed of the cuts by implementing the control of point wagon retarders did not lead to a significant improvement in the quality of filling the sorting tracks with wagons. Instead, it was possible to optimize the parameters of the quasi-continuous speed control system of cuts on the sorting track.
