Object of study: the territory and the underground immovable properties (cave complexes and underground structures) and the above-ground immovable properties of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve. Purpose: identification of key factors (natural, technogenic, anthropogenic) that adversely affect the technical state of the territory, cave complexes and underground structures, temperature and humidity condition, hydrogeological conditions of the territory, which is a necessary factor for substantiation of measures to protect objects from negative processes; determination of the influence of adverse microclimate of objects on the condition of interior structures of properties (mostly soil walls and vaults), monumental painting (in caves). Development of recommendations on the optimal mode of operation aimed at preserving the complex of underground structures of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra (cave complexes, underground structures of the Upper Lavra). Research methods: Collection and analysis of materials from previous studies, observation of technical state, temperature and humidity condition, humidity of structural elements, humidity of the soil mass and the nature of the movement of moisture in the soil mass, the mode of ground water, the nature and direction of movement of the water aquifer over cave fields, dynamics of deformation processes, analysis and systematization of the obtained results.
