In the first part, the theorems on the Fredholm property of regular elliptic boundary value problems and the properties of their solutions are proved in the Hermander spaces, which form a complete extended Sobolev scale and consist, in general, of irregular distributions. In the second part of the work, new theorems on the character of solvability and the properties of solutions of elliptic boundary problems by B. Lawruk, for which the maximum orders of boundary operators are greater than the order of the elliptic equation, are obtained in the generalized Sobolev spaces forming an extended Sobolev scale.
