As the model glass, glass waste of barbed, phosphate, lead, borosilicate, and barium phosphate glasses were used. The preparation of the bottom residue simulator was carried out by dissolving the required quantities of salts in distilled water to ensure the appropriate concentration, according to the data on the average chemical composition of the bottom residue of liquid radioactive waste from nuclear power plants with VVER-1000 reactors. Based on the study, the temperature, heating rate, and the exposure time of the vitrification process (melting glass of various compositions and a simulator of liquid radioactive waste) were determined. It was found that the temperature of the transition to the molten state is lower by 50 - 100 ° C for glass with the bottom residue compared to the initial glasses. It was established that phosphate glass of the following composition (wt.%) : P2O5 - 68.3, B2O3 - 3.9, Al2O3 - 8.9, B2O3 - 1.5, MgO - 7.1, K2O - 10.3 was the most optimal composition for the simulator adding. The vitrification temperature of phosphate glass with a simulator of the bottom residue was about 700 ° C. The obtained samples are characterized by a dense and uniform structure with a minimum number of defects and uniform distribution of finely crystalline particles of the simulator. An experimental batch of samples prototypes of vitrified simulators of bottom residue was produced to determine the physical and mechanical properties, chemical and radiation resistance.
