The purpose of the work is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the conceptual foundations of the interconnection and interdependence of the process of modernization of Ukraine's political system and its European integration. Research methods are the principles of dialectic and determinism, systemic, civilizational, normative-value and institutional approaches, structural-functional analysis, retrospective-comparative method. The directions of the development of the institutions of the political system of Ukraine in the context of the European integration challenges are substantiated, the analysis of the development of the civil society institutions as a fundamental element of the adaptation of European values is described, the political and legal environment of the functioning of civil society is characterized. Determinants of socio-political changes in the context of European aspirations of Ukraine are considered, a complex analysis of the preconditions and causes of the Revolution of Dignity is made, the factors of formation of a legitimate electoral process in Ukraine are investigated. Adaptation possibilities of Ukraine regarding the conformity of its political system with the requirements of European integration are revealed, the features of political adaptation of the personality as a factor of intensification of the democratic process in Ukraine are characterized, the prospects of memory policy implementation in the context of European integration of Ukraine are investigated, peculiarities of the parity democracy in Ukraine are explored in the context of up-to-date European trends in solving gender sensitive issues in the political field. The research of the EU joining criteria as the most important factors of building a democratic, social and the rule of law in Ukraine have been implemented.
