The aim of the project is to obtain new quantum materials and to establish their crystallographic characteristics, quantitative parameters of chemical bonding and magnetic and transport properties. The research will focus on establishing a common system and algorithms for the relationship between structural features, the nature of chemical bonding in compounds, and the physical properties that will form the basis for the creation of next-generation quantum materials. The subject of the study is the establishment of crystalline structures, primarily modulated and composite, compounds based on precision diffraction experiment, determination of chemical bonding parameters and magnetic and transport properties of substances, in particular under conditions of quantum transitions. Experimental methods - synthesis of alloys in electric arc, high-frequency and muffle furnaces (direct interaction of components, synthesis through ligatures, multistage solid-phase synthesis with formation of intermediate phases, ampoule synthesis), thermal treatment of samples in muffle and tubular furnaces, differential scanning calorimetric analysis X-ray analysis, microstructural analysis, X-ray spectral analysis, X-ray structural analysis (poly- and single-crystal methods), calculation of electronic structure, potentiometers a two-probe method for measuring electrical resistance and Seebeck coefficient, a relative Faraday method for magnetic susceptibility studies. As a result, the conditions of obtaining and new structurally modified inorganic compounds were optimized and synthesized, both in the form of high-quality single crystals and in the form of powder samples. (x ? 0.45), Ce2Ti7Sb12, Ce3TiSb5, Gd2Ti11Sb14, ~ Ce2Zr3Sb5, Ce0.08(3)Zr1.92(3)Sb, ~ CeZrSb4, ~ Gd3Zr3Sb14, Cr3(Ni1-xCox)5Si2, LuGe3. For the synthesized samples, arrays of precision X-ray powder and single crystal data were obtained, on the basis of which X-ray phase, X-ray structural, crystal-chemical analyzes were carried out and the like. In addition, measurements of physical properties (magnetic, transport, etc.) were carried out for many samples. On the subject of scientific research 2 PhD theses were prepared and defended, published a monograph in a national publishing house, 30 articles (22 of them in Scopus and / or WoS indexed publications and 8 in professional and other publications), 24 papers at scientific conferences (of which: abstracts 8 reports at conferences held abroad and theses 16 reports at conferences held in Ukraine). The scientific results have been used in the reading of general and special courses to prepare bachelors and masters in inorganic chemistry and crystal chemistry. It is planned to use the results of the research in further scientific work together with scientists of the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry, V.I.
