The novelty of the world is as follows. There was justified for the first time the criterion of low-cycle fatigue fracture of NiTi alloy with the effect of pseudoelasticity that is based on the total strain energy taking into account the elastic strain energy up to the moment of specimen failure and the elastic strain energy taking into account the number of cycles. There was proposed the technique for predicting the lifetime of SMA with the effect of pseudoelasticity in the conditions of low-cycle fatigue at variable amplitude loading, which is based on the criterion of fatigue fracture, determined by the constant amplitude - the total elastic strain energy, which takes into account the strain energy, dissipated to the specimen failure and the energy of elastic deformation taking into consideration the number of laoding cycles. The obtained results, especially the prediction techniques are of practical importance and can be applied in the calculation of the durability of structural elements or devices made of SMA at the design stage or during operation in the following fields: aeronautical, defense, construction and biomedical engineering.
