The aim of this work is to study the sorption ability of new sorption materials functionalized with citrate ions and modified with nanoparticles with magnetic properties to extract U(VI) and Eu(III) (a chemical analogue of radionuclides Am and other TUE), by controlling the structure and phase composition there of X-ray method and other physicochemical methods, in particular, IR-spectroscopy. Research methods - X-ray, atomic absorption, spectrophotometric, sorption in static conditions. Main results: sorption extraction of radionuclides by citrate forms of Mg,Al-LDH and Zn,Al-LDH and their magnetic composites was investigated. It has been shown that sorption materials with magnetic properties are sufficiently effective for sorption extraction of U(VI) and Eu(III) from aqueous media, as a chemical analogue of Me(III), including Am radionuclides from large volumes of water, macrocations of natural waters (shown by the example of Ca ions) practically do not reduce the degree of extraction of U(VI) from aqueous solutions, and fulvic acids not only do not reduce the degree of extraction, but on the contrary there is a significant increase in the efficiency of water purification. A sorption mechanism is considered, which primarily depends on the chemical nature of radionuclides (domination of complexation or a tendency to hydrolysis), as well as their concentration in solution, which is especially important when extracting radionuclides. In addition, for elements prone to hydrolysis, in this case, for example, for Eu (III), there is practically no single sorption mechanism for all pH values of the solution.
