HUMAN SKIN, THERMOELECTRIC COOLING, COMPUTER SIMULATION, THERMOELECTRIC DEVICE, COOLING WORKING TOOL, TREATMENT OF SKIN DISEASES The object of study is thermal and temperature processes in human skin during therapeutic manipulations with a cooling working tool of a thermoelectric device for the treatment of skin diseases. The results of such studies are the basis for the development of practical recommendations and methods for treatment of various diseases in dermatology and cosmetology. The purpose of the work is the development and creation of a thermoelectric device for the treatment of skin diseases, which allows for therapeutic procedures with the simultaneous possibility of visual monitoring of the temperature of working tools. Research methods are methods of mathematical physics to determine the distribution of physical fields in the biological tissue of the human body and in the working tool of a thermoelectric device, object-oriented computer simulation of thermal processes, calculation methods, experimental methods of thermoelectricity and thermophysics. A physical model is developed and a mathematical description of a system consisting of biological tissue and a cooled working tool is performed. The boundary conditions for the model and the properties of biological tissue, including phase transitions and heat and mass transfer, are determined. A system of equations is built to describe the physical model in stationary and dynamic conditions. Using object-oriented computer simulation, the distribution of temperature and heat fluxes in various layers of the skin on the surface of which a cooled working tool is located is determined. The results obtained make it possible to build the theory of thermoelectric medical devices to create specified dynamic changes in temperature and heat fluxes in biological tissue. Using the Comsol Multiphysics application package, a three-dimensional computer model of human skin was built on the surface of which a cooled working tool is placed, which makes it possible to simulate thermophysical processes in biological tissue, taking into account blood circulation, metabolism and phase transition. A computer simulation technique has been developed that makes it possible to predict the results of local thermal effects on human skin, including during cryomassage and cryodestruction in dermatology. A design was developed and an experimental sample of a thermoelectric device for treatment of skin diseases was developed, which has an expanded range of operating temperatures (-50 ? 0) ° С and visual control of the temperature of cooling working instruments during therapeutic procedures. Clinical trials of the device were carried out. The results of the tests indicate that the device is highly promising in medical practice, in particular in dermatology and cosmetology.
