Purpose - based on the analysis of the current and prospective security environment, the experience of the participation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the conflict in the East of Ukraine to substantiate recommendations on counteraction to the hybrid war in the military sphere. Research methods - system analysis, comparative analysis, peer review methods, method of forming a group of subjects of the security and defense sector for integrated threats, method of evaluating the integrated use of military and non-military forces and means in the military security system, methods of fuzzy set theory. The scientific results obtained in the research work are recommendations on the integrated use of military and non-military forces and means, information security (including cybersecurity), development of strategic communications, civil-military cooperation, ways of international collective (coalition) counteracting and providing measures to counteract the hybrid war. The main new practical result is the recommendation to central executive and military authorities to counteract hybrid warfare in the military sphere, which will improve existing and search for and develop new mechanisms for counteracting hybrid threats in the military sphere, within the competence of the Ministry of Defense.
