The transgenicity of the obtained plants was confirmed by PCR analysis. T1-T2 generation was obtained from seed generation T0.Transformants have been shown to grow on selective mannitol media faster control. Plants of the seed generation T2 were characterized by decreased activity of the prolinedehydrogenase which is manifested in the changed of norm-stress-norm conditions.Transformants to have higher levels of free L-proline accumulation, higher resistance to water deficiency, and yields. Cytogenetic analysis revealed a significantly higher level of karyotypic variability of transgenic genotypes than non-transgenic ones.
