The influence of different clinical and laboratory parameters on overall survival of 30 patients with CML patients treated with imatinib or nilotinib for a long period of time was evaluated. Response to treatment with generic imatinib which substituted the original medication was monitored. A separate group of patients with resistant mutations of the fusion gene was distinguished and efficacy of their treatment was analyzed. Investigation of residual leukemic stem cells was accomplished in 17 patients using immunophenotyping of peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
