The purpose of the work is to establish the features of the formation of yield and seed quality by sunflower varieties and hybrids in the conditions of Western Polessye and Western Forest-steppe. Elements of the technology of growing sunflower have been developed: the optimal varietal composition of sunflower plants for the zones indicated above is recommended for the yield, oil content, and disease resistance. It has been established that the best in terms of basic economically valuable indicators for the conditions of West Polesie and West Forest-steppe are sunflower hybrids Prioritet, Antonio, Kupets and Kamelot variety, which provide seed productivity of 4.05-4.84 t / ha with oil content of 50.4-51.3%, oil collection of 2.05-2.36 t / ha.
