The subject of the study is the circumstances under which child abuse is committed in Ukraine.The purpose of this paper is to explore the contemporary challenges of securing the right of every child to protection against various forms of violence, to explore national regulatory issues, to analyze best national and international practices, and to work together to prevent and protect children from all forms of violence.Results and novelty: the basic socio-demographic characteristics of children and their health indicators, level of education, socio-economic status of families with children were analyzed; analysis of cases of violence against children in the family environment, in the system of alternative care, sexual abuse; the manifestations of bullying (cyberbullying) and cyberbullying in the child environment have been studied; national normative acts regulating the issues of prevention and protection of children from all forms of violence are analyzed; the international experience of combating violence against children and protecting children from violence; national practices of interagency and intersectoral interaction on the protection of children from violence, the role of parents and their substitutes, representatives of state institutions and the public in this process are explored; recommendations have been developed to prevent child abuse and to ensure that every child has the right to protection from violence.
