Purpose - To develop a modern algorithm for monitoring the epidemic situation of rickets infection in Ukraine, aimed at biological safety of the population. Research methods: epidemiological, microbiological, molecular-genetic, immunological, biological, analytical, statistical. The current epidemic situation in the world and in Ukraine on rickety infections is analyzed, the urgency of the problem of diseases of ricketsiosis and Q fever and the necessity of constant monitoring of the epidemic situation for timely implementation of anti-epidemic measures. According to the results of the study of ixodic mites and murine rodents, the circulation of Ku fever in the natural centers of infection in the Odessa and Ivano-Frankivsk regions is shown. Detection of recently transmitted diseases among the inhabitants of the Odessa region confirmed the further development of the feverish epidemic process of Ku fever in these territories. New data have been obtained on the conservation of typhoid potential in Ukraine, which causes the possibility of recurrent typhoid fever - Brill's disease, as well as its epidemic spread, as hostilities are taking place in the territory of Ukraine, causing mass migration of the population and poor sanitary conditions; strengthening of anti-pediculosis measures in Ukraine is needed. For the first time, an epidemiological monitoring algorithm has been developed to optimize the tactics of epidemiological surveillance of rickettsial infections and to timely identify and prevent the occurrence of chronic forms of rickettsial infections, which will improve the health of the population. Epidemiological surveillance of existing active centers of rickettsial infections will facilitate timely anti-epidemic measures and prevent epidemic outbreaks in the population. Methodological recommendations "Organization and carrying out of antipedicular measures", "Epidemiological surveillance, laboratory diagnostics and prevention of Ku fever" were prepared and sent to the Center of Public Health. According to the results of the research, 17 scientific papers were published, a patent was obtained, an information letter, six information and analytical reviews were prepared, 70 acts of implementation were received. The socio-economic effectiveness of research is determined by their importance in preventing epidemic outbreaks in the population and in saving the cost to eliminate their effects. Conditions of receipt of the report: by permission of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
